I only hope I won't have another lag fest...

I hate playing "fold or all-in pre-flop" (even though it got me to the final table last week), but I wasn't able to switch providers yet. My current one still ignores my cancellation e-mails it seems...

I agree Drakhor, this fold or push mentality is quite a lousy way to play. But is all the rage at online poker Tournies, live games aren't nearly as loose as online. Wonder why that is, online players have no fear getting a punch in the head?????

Well as soon as you have less than 13 big blinds there is little sense in raising your hands. If you raise normally you are often committing yourself to the hand anyway - but allow opponents to push over the top of you - or see flops - when you are more or less committed anyways.

The less blinds you have - the less reason not to push directly.

I 2nd that Soy, but I'm talking about those who push when they are over the 13 BBs. Pushing pocket 3s to a re-raise for example at the near beginning of the tourny is quite common.

The only reason I had to play like this was simply because I wouldn't have been able to make any moves post-flop. I've often had situations where I barely saw my own hole cards, then nothing for almost half a minute, and by the time anything happened again on my screen, the river card was already dealt out.

With 80% packet loss and a ping of 4000ms, you can forget about post-flop play. Each time I would have simply called or raised any other amount than all-in, it would have made me fold automatically post-flop. :(

Right now, I have a 31ms ping to Google, but then again, it isn't 6PM yet...

Yes, weekly on a Wednesday for 10x weeks. I joined in at week 4, but going to be difficult to improve on my FT last week.
