Well, told myself than when my BR hits $1k I'd start a blog, but I was too lazy (that was 2 weeks ago). Now I finally started writing and there's no way back. ♦
I'm a 19 years old student (not for long, 3 days to b-day) from Mexico, and started with poker about 1.5 years ago. I deposited $25 at Party, and managed to blow it up in about one month. Then I found PS, and though: cool, 50 bucks for free... But I was too lazy to read the articles and busted in the quiz. ![]()
So I went on playing freerolls, and managed to get my BR up to (amazing) $10... Then, 5 months ago I re-discovered PS, read the articles and passed the quiz. I chose Titan as my starting platform, and started learning SSS. ![]()
I made some money, getting my starting capital up to about $120, and recovering my Party account to about $70... But after 2-3 weeks of being B/E, I got tired of SSS (it's quite boring), and decided to learn Fixed Limit. ![]()
That way, I built up my BR to some nice $1.5k at Titan, and about $600 at Party (including nice final table at freeroll worth $290). ♦
Now I'm playing 1/2 SH at Titan (6-8 tabling) and 0.5/1 SH at Party (4-6 tabling), and I total some 30k - 40k hands/month.
Right now, I feel pretty confident in my game (last ugly downswing --> - 350 BB already 3 months ago), and these would be my goals for what's left of 2008:
Get my Titan BR up to $2500 and start playing 2/4 SH (I like conservative BRM)
Make my first cashout (something like $200 - $300). ♦
Play at least 50k hands in December, and become Diamond.
Deposit $100 for first deposit bonus at Stars (I'm tracked).
And my goals for the first 6 months of 2009 would be:
Get my total BR up to $5k (playing 2/4 and 3/6) and cashing out over the top.
Consider moving all my BR to Stars, because of obvious benefits.
And to end my first post, here goes my lifetime (15 days) graph + stats at 1/2 SH.
