Hello, I am Adelaar from the Netherlands.
I started playing poker 4 years ago with the books of Phil Gordon.

Played on FTP, Pokerstars, 888 and some iPoker-rooms.
The last few month I play on Unibet. 6max 10NL.
Unibet does not show how many hands you played in a session, so that I have to estimate each day.

Have a bankroll of EU 65 and want to reach EU 1000 within a year time.

I study the video's of W34z3l and Splitsuit.
Try to improve and take good notice of the way my opponents are playing.

At this moment I pay special attention to how I have to react when I am 3betted.

Hey!

Good luck with your challenge Adelaar! It's pretty much the same goal I've set for myself, who doesn't like a thousand bucks? Which games do you play? And do you use bank roll management to move up the ranks?

Hi Lenny, BRM I apply only a bit. With the small BR I have I actually have to play the lowest stakes. But my experience is that there the game is tougher. So that's why I play 10NL.
Tournements I don't like very much, because they cost an enormous amount of time and variance is much too high.
I prefer the 6max. I have to pay attention to not playing too loose. That mostly my leak and causes me to loose the money that I have won.

Last week I played too loose and lost a few times to a set.
Played hands approximately 1000.
Result - EU 55.
BR is now only EU 10. But I will continue and try to play better.

Dediced to risk less when I feel a lot of resistance.

In a MTT with 950 players I ended on position 3, which was very nice.
Prize was a ticket for another MTT.

Yesterday I had a very nice hand: Spades Royal Flush!
For the first time in my life that I had this hand.
I have had twice Hearts Royal Flush.

Until now the week is going better than last week.
Play more disciplined and when I realise that I start playing too loose again, I stop.

This week I started to use ranges for 4betting.
It was a pity that I had no success with it so far.
But I had not enough time. So I have not played enough hands to have a good practice. Only played about 750 hands.
The coming weeks probably I won't have time to play.

Hey mate. I've played NL10 on Unibet late last year. If possible, you should try to play after midnight on fridays and saturdays, the games are very soft and with proper adjustments you can have a very high winrate.
Gl with your challenge

You want some help? Maybe i can help as i think you just need some basic guidelines.

0: If you have other priorities like work, family then don't spew your time with poker. Do one thing and do it good. When you have sorted out your other areas, there will come a period when you put poker as first priority. If now is not the time then let it be.
1: First thing to do is create a habbit of playing. This is time consuming and frustrating but if you are serious then this is it.
2: Play one or 2 tables ,make sure you have a fish to your left 1-2 seats next to you and Focus on just one player.
3: Read and memorize how to adjust your ranges, you need to constantly modify them. Check out my blog.
4: Exploit opponents simple stats. Check out my blog.
5: Next step is that you will notice why your session went bad... because of variance or because of your mistakes

I started to use some of the tactics of Gordon. Sometimes it works.
But still I only play break even. But I continue to have practice to develop more skills.

Yesterday I implemented some of the stuff. Sometimes I had success with it.
But lost 1 BI with KK versus AA.
And lost 1 BI with pair Aces and nutflushdraw against a set of 5.
So the day was somewhat disappointing.

Sometimes I do have success with the tactics of Gordon.
This week I will watch his videoseries Champions stand up one more time than the rest.

I attended the coachings from Lem0n yesterday and monday one week ago.
I gave 24H a try, but due to unknown problems my account is not tracked, Supervisor says that it is due to a problem of 24H. So until now no success there.
Still playing Unibet. At 2NL I am winning, but when I take a shot at 5NL then all my winnings are gone quite quickly. so break even again.

Pokerstars I was lucky in the all-in shoot out and got 11 dollar.
2nd week I got $ 5 when depositing 25 $.

I want to buy Pokertracker but the link to visacard does not work. Have to solve this problem.

Hello iSoOwnYou, thanks for your reply. Do you play on Pokerstars NL2?
I think I have met you at the tables.

Can you tell me how you bought PokerTracker?

Yesterday I played 5 hours on Unibet but no pricedrop, what a pity :f_cry:

Hey Adelaar yes I play on Pokerstars at the moment but soon to switch over to Ipoker i think.

I don't use pokertracker I use HM2. I just paid for it outright when I won a mtt two years ago (best thing I did, as the rest of my profit has long since dissapeared!)
Unlucky about the prizedrop, hopefully you will get one in the next 10 days! But there are some good deals to be had on buying it these days I think or pokertracker, I'd check the software section out here on pokerstrategy and also check into google search, as sometimes you can get good deals other places too.

Hope your grind is going well! :f_drink:

Thanks IsoOwnYou for your reaction.

Yesterday on Unibet:
CO openlimps and D 3bets.
I 4bet with JJ on SB.

D reraises all in.

I called because SPR was small.

D had AA and I lost. That was a pity.

What do you think: did I call too loose when D reraised all in?
Should I have folded?

This morning I studied the video of Double2: Fold less on the blinds.

Bought the book of Jared Tendler and will study it.

Last week busy with implementing the 4bet ranges when some-one 3bets me.

Got 5 free SNG-tickets and won 1 SNG.
And 2 SNG I ended on the 2nd place and got also some cash.
Nice.

Maybe good to answer schelleXL in the thread Ik zoek het boek Jared Tendler "The mental game of poker" that you have bought this book already or you have done it with PM’s.

Nice to see you had a nice day on the SNG games, Keep it up :f_thumbsup:
