      Hi all.
You may or may not have seen from other threads I have started that I am looking for a new site to lose my money on.
I curently play mostly at Stars but this account is not tracked to PS hence my lowly Bronze status.
I cannot play FT because I have an old account not tracked to PS and they refuse point blank to retrack it despite the fact that I have never deposited there!
I am looking for a site which has all or most of the following:
      1. Good traffic in both sng and nl at the lower limits ($10 -$20 sng, NL100, FL $0.50/$1)
      2. Good traffic at higher levels.
      3. Easy withdrawals to Visa
      4. Able to use Pokertracker
      5. Good rakeback or equivalent bonuses.
      6. Good first deposit bonus

I would be grateful if you could give me your opinions of Everest in respect of the above please. Many thanks.

      1. Can't tell you, I don't play Sngs or NL100.
      2. Dunno, I deposited 220 so I am playing at the NL10 FR but opening like 5 tables anytime is NP.
      3. I guess so if the bank that issued the card allows withdrawal gaming houses.
      4. Yes.
      5. No rakeback. They've got some bonus program where you can get stuff for Summit points.
      6. $300 for pokerstrategy members should be good enough. Also there's an option for $1000 bonus but I guess it's harder to clean it.

I have only been playing at Everest for the last few days & only at the lower level SNG's. I am a Party Poker player & have been for a few years.
      My observations so far are:

The software is clunky & slow which makes for slow play.

Generally the players are extremely conservative. I sat at a $1, 6 player SNG yesterday & it took about 30 minutes before one of the 5 other players raised pre flop! I was getting crap cards but every pre flop raise i attempted was not called.

The most frustrating aspect i have found, & probably the one that will cause me to stop playing at the site, is the culture that seems to have developed around letting the already long timer run down instead of clicking the FOLD button. It really does my head in & when you have 3 players out of 6 doing it nearly every hand it slows the game to a yawning valium fest.

Do not agree with player above me.

This site is very fishy specially on low $ sit and go. They will call you with crazy stuff and i've seen this on 75% of the sit and go I played. Sometime I raised with AQ to get called by K2, Q8, etc.

From what i've seen the traffic is pretty low at higher limit.

The summit points can also be converted in $ which is kind of like a rakeback, they offer christmas promotion too I think.

      ^ downswing? lol

anyway i dont mind it.. mtt's are brutal, sng traffic is pretty low but the tables are fishy and easy to turn profit on if you avoid suckouts.

i ve been playin both sit & go cash games and mtt's at everest for a month now and i can say this: Cash games at low stakes are tough, i ve been losing a lot there (maybe not my game anyway) sit & go's are really easy at low stakes but takes a lot of time. On the other hand MTT's with low buyin (like 1$ or 2+.20) are very nice if you have the patience, too many fish and very nice pools. The only issue there is that there are a lot of france players and I m starting to think that they cooperate a lot especially when it comes to the bubble seeing always the same players and noone wipes out the others. Anyway I hope that was enlightning.

These are all false positives. If you virus software isn't flagging it as a "Casino" then you need to get better software.

      @OP:
I only play there to clear the bonuses when they offer better rakeback than FTP. Usually if the points required is about 10 times the amount given its a pretty good deal. The $50/600SP is the one I clear the most.

Other than that the software is clunky, raise amounts are completely broken, and the traffic gets worse and worse every day.

They can pay me to play there, but that's it.

If Everest updates its software so people can multi table without overlapping,it would be one of the best sites around.
There are easily 20k+ people in the peak hours.Mostly of them are little fish.
Even in the slowest times there is still 8k people playing.
Everest is not and does not install viruses to computers, they are IP addresses of the software, and yes some of them may be identified as viruses in your firewall, but they are not. What they are really doing is providing the features of the software, such as the flash player that displays the winter fest at the top, another will be for the cashier etc..

I have had the biggest cash-out on party(lucky piece of BB),but the best real success comes from Everest.I turned a $50 starting capital(my own)into 7.5k in a little less than 3 months, just in time for school.
I think Everest is the best site for new players to start their poker career!
      Plenty of micro stakes/cash,S&G's,and mtt's.

Your experience seems completely different than mine. What time are you playing and what games/stakes?
