0.50/1 Fixed-Limit Hold'em (6 handed)
Hand recorder used for this poker hand: Texas Grabem 1.7 by www.pokerstrategy.cc.

Preflop: Hero is BU with T♦, T♣
MP2 calls, 2 folds, Hero raises, 2 folds, MP2 3-bets, Hero calls.

Flop: (7.50 SB) 4♠, 8♦, 9♠ (2 players)
MP2 bets, Hero raises, MP2 calls.

I don't think this is a good spot for call flop raise turn. I rather raise-call here where I am more likely ahead to all Ax hands.

Turn: (5.75 BB) 9♣ (2 players)
MP2 checks, Hero bets, MP2 calls.

River: (7.75 BB) 4♣ (2 players)
MP2 checks, Hero checks.

Final Pot: 7.75 BB

valuebet river? A high might call, and a better hand is unlikely.

i think you can value bet this river against AK or AQ. but a better hand isn´t soooo unlikely because he is tight preflop and pretty passive.

@cirith: what about call flop/raise turn against this passive player ? do you think we can fold to a 3-bet without a read like that he´s doing crazy moves from time to time ?

all in all i prefer the flop raise.

Raise flop is better here to get a calldown from A-high and he is passiv and might not bet the turn if we just call.

A turn 3-bet would really be bad so I also try to avoid this because I hate tough laydown in this spot. ;)

EDIT: Yes valuebet vs A-high on/at (whatever) the river.
