Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, 60 Tournament, 100/200 Blinds (4 handed) - Full-Tilt Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

BB (t4700)
UTG (t3355)
Button (t1315)
Hero (SB) (t4130)

Hero's M: 13.77

Preflop: Hero is SB with 10, 10
2 folds, Hero bets t500, BB raises to t4700 (All-In), Hero calls t3630 (All-In)

BB is a reg, super agressive on the bubble so i'm assuming he can shove very wide here. is this ok or am i spewing by taking this risk?

looks pretty standard to me with your reads.

i don't have sngwiz here but with your reads it's a call imo even with the shortstack being there. if he really is that aggressive he might even be shoving close to atc.
if you want to fold to a push i would consider shoving preflop because you will get shoved on a lot here if you raise

yeah ofcourse i never fold :P was just wondering if r/c (where i bust a decent % of the time) had better ev than open shoving (where he calls with like 4 hands). ofc when i bust him i get 1st a huge % of the time too.

thats the wiz

he has to reshove more than 54% for you to call it off and be +$EV.

against a reg who you think will exploit you its fine. otherwise just open shove or limp/reshove or r/f

I don't think any reg will raise more than 50%. He is shoving 7x pot here and he can't expect hero to raise very loosely here. This all because of the short stack of course, if stacks were even this would be call. Now, it's an easy fold.

a good reg should be shoving ATC here because if hero is 'stealing' a wide range he can only call off top 3%.

its profitable to shove atc as the BB reg vs reg here.

and if you know hes a good reg and you know he knows he can push ATC here then its a snap call obv.

i you think hes a bad reg and he doesnt know he can push ATC here then its a fold.

The problem here is that hero is not stealing with wide range here. I just run this in wiz, if hero is opening more than 30% and calling only with TT+, then it is +EV for BB to shove any2. But that's the problem, sb shouldn't be raising that loosely here OOP.

yes he shouldnt be raising loose,

but BB doesnt know that, we have no idea what BB thinks of SB? we have no reads on that dynamic between the players so we cant judge what SB's steal range is.

You kinda contradict yourself. If bb doesn't know hero, he can't expect hero to fold that loosely in that spot either.

And on the other hand, if sb and bb both know the other one is a reg then both should know sb isn't raising loosely.

it all depends on how each other perceives the other.

and we dont know the dynamics between OP and villain so we cant say whether its good or not.

in a vacuum its a raise/call vs a good reg IMO.

The open push is an option here imho, but I don't like it. But the problem with your small raise is that the reg might call it and give you a hard time postflop.

But when he is aggro, then he will shove wide pre and then your r/c is the best line imho. And the SNG Wiz discusion is not necessarily good here, cause I am not sure villain will shove his monster hands here, cause he has too much FE.

I don't think shoving ATC is good there => I'm a bad Reg :(

Anyone think about limping yet?

@ Unam: I think apart from maybe AA he is most definately shoving every monster preflop.

reg vs reg dynamics are pretty important in this hand .

will bb exploit ? ---> open shove pre. or raise/call if he is exploiting like he should (with atc)

will bb respect your range here ? ---> r/f

SB -> assumes BB is a good reg and will be tight in this spot, SB steals Ax, pairs, broadways.

BB -> knows SB is stealing too wide and knows SB is bubble aware and has to fold everything but TT+

ps. i think this reg vs reg dynamic is pretty common amongst good players. SB will steal a standard range until BB adjusts and shoves atc.

Lol, what is indeed very common amongst good players is not to create these Spots a lot. Sb just openfolds most Hands here and we're through with the story...

Also the assumption that SB only calls 2.5% after openraising is absolutely terrible imo. A lot of Regs just call wide to avoid Exploitation.
