I think he has a diamond draw or lower pocket pair often enough to make calling OK, but I'm not 100% sure.

A read would also help here. Does he overbet more ofen with made hands or not? Or with draws / rubbish...

Without reads I think you can call this one, I don't think he has an ace often enough to fold, the overbet allin suggests a flush draw or low pocket pair ( as said in the previous reply ) in my opinion. With an ace he would make more of a standard bet according to me.

I would just overshove the pre flop raise heads up. People spaz call with any old Ace alot of the time.

@dangermowse We were way too deep to 3bet push. I have M 91 he had a bit lower. I think that its pointless to cut of his drawing and marginal hands. I am loosing value of my big hands when I cut off his marginal once by pushin. Plus I was very aggressive and he may misinterpret my 3bet, thinking I am trying to pick up the pot pre-flop and come over the top, with all kind of hands 8s+ A9s+ ATo+, range I am obviously crushing.

Therefore I checked flop, with the intention to 3bet there.
Little I know he pushed. No point to push 3p As on this flop imo, we are both way too deep. He can't know I have big enough hand to justify a call here.

At the lower buy ins you can just chuck it in pre and get called as was posted.

As for 3 betting then checking the flop I prefer to just bet / call the flop if I have been very aggressive.

If my opponent sees that I am aggressive then I am suddenly checking after 3 betting it will make him
wonder why. If he has a pocket or a good draw and he is expecting a bet from me post flop and he
is not giving me credit for a hand he will get it all in against me easier.

When you post a heads up hand please post ANY details you can think of about how it has played out so far.

Reads are essential at the HU stage especially with these stack sizes.

i like the way you played it and i agree with your reasoning. he will turn up with mid pairs and draws pretty often here.

you can bet/call flop like 897 said, but we would need more information on how aggressive he is, whether he is a bluffer etc.....

Thanks for the evaluation.

About the addition info you mentioned.

He was kind of fishy and week player. Seen him doing some stupid bluffs. He was aggressive but not selective aggressive.

Also worth mentioning is that I was very aggressive during mid-late stages of the tournament, a lot of limp / 3bets, and 3bets in general which may affect his decision making.

Therefore imo, it was not likely that he PFR / CC with Ax and then figured out that I am most likely 3bet-ing PF with big pair and make fast play.
