OK so I been playing poker live on the local poker circuit in my town for almost 2 years now with some success, estimate around 20% ROI and occasionally visit the casino playing 50p - £1 blinds. Have to say at the casino I been really lucky with the cards so far and NEVER left out of pocket, needless to say I have stayed away from the blackjack and roulette LOL.

However in this modern world of online poker I haven't seemed to fair to well so far playing mainly at PokerStars. Seem to have spent hours slowly building up my stack waiting for that right moment to hook the fish only to be getting out drawn nearly every time I push all-in with the better hands.

Just completed the $50 quiz here at Poker Strategy so decided to start playing at Full Tilt with this initial deposit and am hoping to use carefull management and bankroll strategy to see if I can accomplish a few goals to kick start my online career.

GOAL number 1 is going to be doubling this $50 by Christmas and starting the new year with $100 in my account by playing 1c-2c blinds in ring games and playing the occasional $1 buy in large multi table tourneys. I think at my current level I should be able to achieve this especially after reading the guides and watching the videos on this site, as they have helped me realise a few of the leaks that i believe have been present in my online game (we shall see lol).

Anyway I creating this blog more for my own referal than anything else and shall be updating it on a regular basis keeping track of my game, my mistakes and my highlights and would appreciate any knowledge coming from you guys with regards to what i post. Im sure il be hearing a lot from some of you and not much from others but hopefully in a few months time this blog will be a feast of info for any player that wishes to start with a smaller bankroll and build it into something substantial.

Well its true, its bloody true. Not very often you recieve this kind of generosity in these times but I have recieved my $50 initial capital from pokerstrategy.com for doing nothing more than registering and completing the quiz, im gob smacked, thankyou very much.

Spent a few hours yesterday at the tables played a couple of hours at the cash tables playing NL2, played a couple of $1 27 handed SnG and entered the Daily Dollar re-buy and invested $3 and ended up about $2 in profit.

Had a really strong session in all putting into practice what I had learned from swatting up for the quiz. I think my game must have been lacking in the pre flop game and really found the starting hand table really usefull, the problem lay in not playing them hole cards correctly and maybe finding myself in cash losing situations.

Anyway I want to be able to post a few of my hands here so that they can get scrutinized by you guys so if anybody could advise me of any little programs I could run that will save my hand histories so that I can go back and summarise after my sessions I will. be gratefull...........

Been another succesful day at the tables as such in the fact that I walk away with a slight profit again

Been some tough battles today losing out in the cash games by some margin but clawing it back in the 1 table tourneys.

I have also dl and installed elephant which im sure most of you use but am quite unfamiliar with it yet especially the HUD. Going to have to do some research on this I think as it looks like quite a usefull program to track my hand histories and bankroll. I am having some trouble exporting the hand history from my hard drive into the database though and am having to do it manually which is a right royal pain in the ass. Tried and tried and tried to get it to import automatically but just couldnt get it to work. If anybody has any advice on this I be very pleased to hear it.

Anyhow the day ended up with me around $7 in profit so things are going to plan so far. Well on the way to having that 100 bucks by Christmas
