$119 – 88 awkward isolation

villain is 35/19 3.7AF.

shoving 1600 to win 250 is a bit much so i chose to isolate.

went for pot control on the flop and turn to re-eval river.

its hard to put him on air here because the board is so dry.
ive seen double barrel bluffs from uknowns in these kinds of spots... so i guess i should have called river? or did i soul read his K here?

opinions on my line and on villains possible holdings pls

Maybe 350 preflop, I'd also bet ~ 1/3 pot on flop. Too many overcards suck.

so you are bet/folding flop? dont u think when u cbet 1/3 pot it looks SO transparent that you are b/f. esp to fish.

My thinking was cbet too. but then with my stack-size i would have to cbet/call (unless i bet <1/2 pot like you are suggesting)

Yeah, bet-folding. I know it looks very weak, but I use a lot of 1/3-1/2 pot size bets (also with some value hands) so for me it more fine. I also believe the bet here will work often enough to make it profitable. (Of course checking has value as well)

I am cbetting this board, it is a great board, where he could fold livecards or maybe better pairs then yours (OK that is not likely but possible).
If you under represent your hand as you did I would call the river, turn and river were great cards for you.
