villain basically never has a flush here, why would he overbet shove the turn when he make his hand? he has nothing to 'protect' against he has the nuts (in his eyes). imo his range here is mostly combos or weak pairs.

What a ridiculous shove!
It just didn't make any sense for a flush to shove there, I put him on a PP 66+ any ace of diamonds (maybe AK AQ AJ A4 whatever that floated that me), even if he had K with a decent kicker, why shove?
Senseless, I guess it worked out for him, but he's losing a lot of value doing that in the long run so more fool him, what's he expect me to call with that he's beating apart from a K (which unfortunately I did have lol), I'm folding 77 etc, which he could get more value from, also misses a lot of value from my bluffs.

just note it and move on. 90% of the time you have the best hand in this spot. you just ran into the 10% in this hand.

anyway I think he does have a flush often here. Not saying 80% of the time but just enough to make me fold. many villains tend to donkbet small (and then call your raise) with fd or weak pair on the flop, and on this board there aren't many weak made hands he can have. As for the turn... some guys tend to shove like that when they hit 
Maybe I'm results oriented, dunno (not due to your result, but some similar spots I've been to).

So true, this is mainly why I posted the hand, I've seen so many players do that, but they don't usually shove like idiot when they hit ♦.

Just call, and note. I'd do the first, and I should work hard on making the 2nd...
You got great help here from the other posters, so I can not add any new view here.
I always wonder why opponents do what they do and here is one of the spots, where I just have no clue why.
