I think I played this hand right, but let's see what you guys think. The bet on the flop is a good amount? Or should I raise more in this situation?

I'm doing the hand convertion manually, so don't be scared if something is unusual.

No Limit Hold'em
Blinds: $0.10/$0.25
Stacks
Hero: $23.25
CO: $10.35
UTG+2: $27.30

Pre-flop: (9 players) Hero is MP2 with J :spade: J :club:
3 calls, 1 fold, Hero raises to $1.50, CO calls, SB calls, UTG+1 calls, UTG+2 calls, everybody else folds.

Flop: 2  8 :diamond: 4  ($8, 5 players)
3 check, Hero bets $6.50, CO calls, SB folds, UTG+1 calls, UTG+2 folds.

Turn: T  ($27.50, 3 players)
3 check.

River: 9 :spade: ($27.50, 3 players)
UTG+1 checks, Hero checks, CO bets $2.35 and is all-in, UTG+1 folds, Hero calls

Hi Faye6891!

I think you played the hand well preflop and on the flop. But on the turn you are pot committed anyway: go all-in. You don't want to wait for another  or Q, K, A on the river.

Good luck at the tables!

It may seem like a stupid question from someone who's been playing poker for almost 2 years but I didn't have pokerstrategy to help me so... when am I considered pot committed? When my stack is half the pot or less?

Is it such a stupid question that no one wants to answer? :(

when you cant fold anymore because of the odds and the money you invested

Hi Faye6891!

It's difficult say an exact number because it depends on the board as well as on your opponents whether you can say I'm pot committed or not. But your number (half size of the pot) can be some kind of benchmark.

Good luck at the tables!
