My name's not actually Mike; it's an online alias. But that's beyond the point.
Let's see... my poker career.
I started with $50 on Titan (thanks again!) and immediately hit a wall. Coolers, suckouts, etc. took me to $40. After reading opinions on SSS here and being convinced that it is a winning strategy, I slept on it to return two days later. I wanted my mind to cool.
I played on two tables, to increase the number of hands played, but this time I was the one sucking out (JJ overpair vs set.. turn a J) and hitting 2-outers. I ran really good, about 26bb/100 at the 0.05/0.10 full ring until I hit about $48 and decided to call it a day. I didn't want short term results to mess with my head.
Day 3 was a couple days ago. Once again, I ran good (about 24bb/100), but this time I attribute my winnings to the fact that I was playing 6 tables. I came upon the conclusion that playing more tables not only increased my hands played, but kept me too busy to sulk over suckouts and bad beats. My bankroll is $67.50 by the end of this day.
Finally, today. I play 8 tables after making sure my mouse works (died 20 minutes in on day 3. Good think I'm on a laptop). I go for about 50 hands on one table without playing a pot. I get sucked out twice on another, in straight hands. A8 in bb on another; only to have the SB limp with AA. (I hit two pair and stacked off). All my winnings for the day are from cbets, and I have to duck out of the tables once I hit 2.50, so it became a difficult process to continually find new tables I haven't been at. I have no idea what Titan's policy is on going South, but I know that it takes a while before I can rejoin.
Still I finish my 3 hour session barely in the positive for 8 tables. My bankroll is $70. There are about 60 hands played in an hour average on my tables, so that's what, 2bb/100?
So thanks again, PokerStrategy! Once finals are over, I intend to be playing a lot more!
EDIT: Looks like the $10 shots are easily clearable. To date I've raked $15, $9 from today alone.
