I was just wondering if anyone could explain the whole odd number betting strategy. I've been following a few familiar, successful players that tend to bet really odd numbers and it seems to be a part of their strategy rather than just goofing around. Weird bets like 899 and like 1080, 724 or 1398. Is it to make the pot odds more confusing or is it simply just to push out an intimidating amount of chips?

Well when i bust out of most tournaments and have a few tables left i just play around with funky bet sizing numbers cuz im bored. Doesn't really make much of a difference if you bet 999 or 1000 really.
On Ipoker you can even bet fractions of a chip. Blinds will be 20/40 and I will raise it to 118.72 or something. RECIPE FOR FUN!

When bluffing.
And when not, I bet like 2.5k so it looks like JUST one chip
