Possible to add an animated news banner for each subforum where moderators/hand judges can put news specific to their forum.
Would be useful to update regular news/events that are specific to each forum but not important enough to be posted on the main page.
Eg. promotions, tips of the day/week, favourite threads, favourite posters etc....

Kidding aside, I am not sure who should take the picks and update a thread on a daily basis with this kind of information.
Though I think it can sense for promotions, favorite threads and posters are covered in our weekly Community Round Up and the Threads Of The Week.
