close spot i think. with 3 $ left i would often call.
opponent could have various hands you are flipping against or being lightly behind. don´t know if he is someone who can exploit, that you are able 2 fold AAxx in such a spot. but anyway, i would call and take a note on him.
You're only crushed by a set, anything else you're flipping against, even flopped 2 pairs pretty much. I'd bet & call the raise unless I was sure he is a nit.
I'd probably also pot the flop since players will have reasonable equity in general on this flop with any pair or draw.
