I think folding here would be really -ev... you have 8 players behind you.. which are each and everyone of them is at least calling you 4.5-5% of the time... with a range a6o has a 30% equity against...

I'm shoving a bit tighter than nash here...

yea that feels fine with any ace here

mehhhhh with 4-5 bbs its not the best hand to shove into this many opponents.. but you can start taking a decent negative edge with that stack so it would be ok.

Why are we pushing tighter than Nash here? When should we push tighter than Nash?

when opponents are calling looser than nash

Ok, but in this hand we don't have the stats. Should we assume by default that they are calling wider than nash on the 12s?

I'm actually fine with shoving close to nash here.. and I don't think anyone has adviced shoving looser in this thread :O

and it depends on spots.. In some spots unknowns call looser than nash and in others they call tighter

I said calling wider (the opponents), not shoving looser!

How can we notice these spots?

Tough question to answer.. I think you'll get it pretty quickly if you just look into it.. generally unknowns call too loose when they are really Risk Averse but call too tight when they are not that risk averse and the nash ranges are loose...

you get some idea? :)

when you look at nash call ranges . on many occasions it will suggest a 99+ AQ+ call for everyone behind us on full tables, very often this is not even close to reality with many unknowns. and if you add the effect of multiple unknowns calling looser than nash then our shove range should reduce significantly. and these trash Axo hands are the first to get dumped out of the range.

how can we tell if unknowns are calling loose or tight? stats help, and just your general feel of the limit. I remember when i was on the 12s i always felt it was a tighter limit in general. then when i moved to the 24s unknowns seemed to call looser on average. it comes with experience. getting a feel of call ranges (especially readless) takes thousands and thousands of games of practice and even the best STT players in the world wont be perfect. there is always room for improvement so make sure you take notes of any unusual calls so you can adjust in the future.
