I call but am willing to fold if any of the deeper stacks (>100bb) give u action. U block the nut flush draw so if they give u action it is often a set

Surely call and reconsider based on what happens after you.

In order to comment on action after your call, it would be good to see the actions players behind you made on flop and their stats.

Well, raise flop is very bad as you only isolate vs better hands. The most value for you in this hand is in the bluffing range of players behind you & if they overplay FD and also you can find value in some Jx hand, but only if you call flop. (If you raise flop, you chase out all the bluffing ranges and Jx ranges and isolate vs better hands = raise only leads to losing money)

Okay, I called there and this is what happened next. The guy is 13/7/~1.5 over 60 hands.

pretty easy ch/f on turn with an 13/7 villain, although small sample.
Imo you can argue to fold already on flop, but maybe that's too weak.

+ you have to consider that it's a locked pot, so a thinking reg/villain shouldn't bet unless the nuts: sets, T8.

Snap call turn. He may be on FD, FD with pair or QQ, KK (not raising flop as it would look so strong). You can never fold spot like this. I really like your C/C turn.

In case he has a set, he would stack you with your flop raise as well.

yeah, thinking back about it, that´s actually true, so your opinion has good merits. (and sry I did not want to offend you, I was just soo surprised about folding aces there)

I tend to fold this on the flop as well. We have okish equity vs the shortie-shove, but we're never in really great shape as draws are usually something like FD+GS so they have a ton of equity. Also obv the sets as well as 2pairs are in this range.

Additionally if we call as all of you said we fold to a shove, so we invest almost 30BB with the intention to fold to any more action.

And the next point: we give great odds and there are a ton of scarecards: 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, T, J, Q, K any obv any diamond all either complete a draw or something like trips/2pairs.
So there are 11 cards we want to see - 2, 3 or 4 non-diamond or another A. That's less than 25% of the deck (actually a 5 would also not be too bad).

Furthermore on the turn we check to our opponent, so he can take freecards with draws and valuetown us when he has it.

All those factors lead me to fold on the flop. It seems to be weak, but we're 5way on the flop. That's not the kind of scenario in which we want to go broke with a naked overpair (and by calling the flop we will ultimately go broke on a lot of turns).

Bierbaer, i love ur point about giving them free river cards thus I almost also think that better play would have been folding right on the flop.
