with overpair and oesd you can´t really b/f your hand so if you bet you have to call shove, so b/c can be fine.
But since board is quite dangerous to your overpair I´d check behind and call most rivers. This way I do´t get stacked by better hands and also give worse hands to try to bluff me out

Ok, i checked behind. River came J an he bets for 1/2 pot.
This is call or fold ?

i think J is the worst card in the deck to come, so i would fold. JJ, 88 got there if you werent behaind allready. And your Qs takes away some busted spade draw combos.

not really, I thought board was 7Jt9. At that case you can also consider b/c turn. Your hand is still very strong and 9 didn´t change much. It gave 88 oesd that might c/rai on the turn and JJ gutshot, so it may also c/rai turn.

If you check turn and river was J, then fold seems fine. you likely don´t beat anything than busted flushdraw
