It is perfectly reasonable to fold preflop. You are getting odds which look nice, but you are not closing the action and you are trying to beat several people. So, you can't count on winning very often if you hit one low pair, and 43o does not make better that often. That there are more people in the hand means that trash hands (including 43o, however connected it looks) do worse, even though it looks like you are getting better odds.

By the way, 43o makes slightly fewer straights than 53o since there is no 4-high straight. 43 is not a connector, it is a 1-gapper. Similarly, 32 is a 2-gapper, and makes slightly fewer straights than 52.

Your overbet semibluff on the flop was highly questionable. You are risking a lot for a small reward, and you are trying to bluff out several players. Your opponents have limped and minraised, so check and hope that they check behind or make a bad little bet which lets you draw cheaply, and then value bet after you hit.

Another possible like to take on the flop is to check-raise if there is a tiny bet and a call, or just a small bet. This will often let you win more than the 320 in the pot if no one has anything, and you lose the same amount if you run into one big hand. If there is a bet and a raise, or a push and a call, then you can fold your OESD with no overcards on a two-tone flop.

One more thing: Focus on whether you made mistakes first, not on whether you got an opponent to make a mistake. The fact that you got called by jack high indicates that these players are not good targets for bluffing, so play a more value-based game.

I guess I am on tilt, I should not have played the hand in the first place. Thank for the analysis and I did not realize that 43 is not consider connector. Now i know :f_grin:.

Anyway I think i am having a problem with tilt. any idea on how to deal with tilt?
