MP1: 1,540
MP2: 1,500

BB: 1,500

Pre-Flop: (30) Q♦ Q♣ dealt to Hero (UTG)
Hero raises to 60, 4 folds, BTN calls 60, SB raises to 340, BB folds, Hero raises to 1,500 and is All-In, BTN folds, SB calls 1,140 and is All-In

Ok, so trying Not to be result-oriented :P.. Is it still advisable to shove with QQ in early stage vs unknown opponent without any reads? or should I tighten it up to KK+ ?

I think players are generally more cautious due to the big prize pool.. Just wanted to know if I made the right play..

In a 1 cent tournament QQ is the nut.

wow, 1 cent tourney? what's the rake? another cent? :O
Agree, for 1 cent, QQ is the nut. I'm having a hard time folding here. With these blind I'd probably bet 80 or 100. And without any reads I'd probably just call a raise, and push if I have an overpair or trips, and fold with a K or A on the board...

this.. although I raise to 80 preflop.. 4xbb is standard on the 10/20's on micro limits... 5xbb could be fine on the 1cent tourneys...

Ok sorry for late reply.. got busy lately.. oh sorry, BOP = Battle of the Planets @ Pokerstars.. I didn't notice that it shows $0.01 NL Holdem Tournament ?(.. probably because you can only enter it with a ticket/like a freeroll..

Battle of the planets is an invitational tournament for SnG leaderboard top finishers, so you can assume your opponents are more or less thinking creatues here.
Raise bigger preflop, after he 3bets calling shoving is kinda standard if you are both deeper then cold calling or folding is better.

PS. BoP is a MTT so may be you should post it in another hand judging forum.

Ok thx.. so you mean to say I'm not really making a big mistake by folding against his 3bet (of course assuming vs an unknown opponent without particular reads).. just trying to make the best decision available

well, it's a SNG tripple shoot-out.. and only the first 81 get paid.. from 81th to 10th you receive $195. and then 9th received about $700 and 1st $12000. (damn :P)

So I thought I just play for ITM $195 and then go for final table..

In a shootout format i'm defintiely felting QQ... top 1 is paid so everyone is more inclined to gamble it up a bit more. I make it 70 preflop though.
