Poker Stars $6.00+$0.50 No Limit Hold'em Tournament - t300/t600 Blinds + t50 - 4 players
DeucesCracked Poker Videos Hand History Converter

BTN: t5671 M = 5.16
SB: t2913 M = 2.65
Hero (BB): t4403 M = 4.00
CO: t513 M = 0.47

Pre Flop: (t1100) Hero is BB with 7♥ 7♦
CO calls t463 all in, 1 fold, SB calls t300, Hero checks

Flop: (t1863) 4♠ 7♠ J♠ (3 players - 1 is all in)
SB bets t600, Hero ???

That IS weird! I think he only bets pocket jacks and made flush there, but it is true that I constantly keep seeing players betting in spots like this with high card and one pair and stuff like that, though I don't really understand the thought behind it.
So, I decided to push for two reasons: even if he has me beat, there is a great chance that shortstack drops out and I end up ITM, not to mention that I have more chips than SB, and secondly: even if he has a made flush, I have outs for a full.

What do you guys think? Would you fold in this situation to preserve your stack, or push for the reasons I listed, or maybe for some others?

I agree. I would push here.

But I think there are many more hands he can bet with other than a made flush or JJ. There is a sidepot that he can bet for and hands like top pair with a K of spades is good enough to bet.

Hi all,

Ship flop! You're so crushing his go-broke range in this situation (any pair with a spade. He should go broke with any spade but he probably doesn't lead unpaired spades on the flop). Also ship preflop as we have him covered etc.
