bet/fold is an option against a worse 8 or 6 but against unknown i prefer to check/call to not get raised off the hand with any madehand or whatever he could decide to raise with. i rather play showdownbound and play c/c for the first time. problem of checking is that he does certainly not have a wide bluffing range but a callingrange but though i rather miss some value against a pair instead of being uncertain whether i did fold the best hand or not if he raises. i think either b/c or c/c.
