MP Player6 (655)
CO Player7 (2,830)
BTN Player9 (1,090)
SB Player1 (2,710)
BB Hero (1,515)

Blinds: 40/80

Pre-Flop: (120, 7 players) Hero is BB Q♣ Q♠
5 folds, Player1 calls 40, Hero raises to 200, Player1 calls 120

Flop: 9♠ A♠ 4♣ (400, 2 players)
Player1 checks, Hero checks

Turn: 8♠ (400, 2 players)
Player1 checks, Hero bets 200, Player1 calls 200

River: 8♥ (800, 2 players)
Player1 bets 560, Hero calls 560

villian seems loose passive

considering how the play whened it seemed less likely he has a A here he might have an 8 but it seems more likely he missed a draw on the river. Considering that is this a callon the river? Should I have played the flop or turn different?

I think this is a fold.

Most likely an A or 8, especialy with your loose/passive read.

+ calling and losing criples you.

against passive villains I can't imagine a hand, where you are ahead on the river. In very rare cases maybe a missed flush draw. But not often enough to find a call.

I don't know if anybody will care about this, but I got curious about how much this matter and did this calculation:

Equity of folding = 0.0912 (1115 chips)
Equity of Winning = 0.1807 (2475 chips)
Equity of Losing = 0,048 (555 chips)

eCalling = eL(1-x) + eW(x)

To BE, eCaling must be = eF = 0.0912

So
0.0912 = eL(1-x) + eW(x)

0.0912 = 0.048 - 0.048x + 0.18x
0.0912 = 0.048 + 0.132x

0.0432 = 0.132x
x = 0.0432/0.132

x = 32.7% = Equity needed to call.

Prety huge diference from the equity needed to be +chip EV:
560 : 1360
1 : 2,72 = 26,8%

Anyway on this particular hand I don't think we even have 26,8% :)

he actually had 76 of diamond and missed his runner runner straight ^^ but yeah I think I should have folded the river cosidering many hands can beat me here and the large bet.

Also would checking the turn be better here?

Hi all,

nah I like betting better. we're a pretty clear equity favourite vs a lot of his hands that would call the turn.

River's gross... against passive I snapfold though
