PokerStars - $0.05 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 5 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 3

BTN: $2.66
SB: $5.00
Hero (BB): $5.00
UTG: $1.95
CO: $5.12

SB posts SB $0.02, Hero posts BB $0.05

Pre Flop: ($0.07) Hero has 8♠ A♣

fold, fold, BTN calls $0.05, fold, Hero checks

Flop: ($0.12, 2 players) 7♦ 7♥ A♠
Hero bets $0.10, BTN raises to $0.30, Hero calls $0.20

Turn: ($0.72, 2 players) 6♠
Hero checks, BTN bets $0.30, Hero calls $0.30

River: ($1.32, 2 players) 9♣
Hero checks, BTN bets $2.01 and is all-in, Hero calls $2.01

I know I played the hand awful... NO IDEA why I called the river, so many things beat me...

Anyway now I'm thinking, I should have 2nd barreled the Turn and Check/Folded river. OR????

you can raise pf, since A8 is ahead his BU limping range
I think b/c flop is fine, I´d also call half potsize turn bet, but you have to fold river shove. Players are just not really bluffing there that you can call down profitable. Most of the times you see 7x or rivered straight

Hello rorrlsh,

Since it's a freeplay it ain't worth to continue there. He will hardly just raise with Ax and often times when it's even Ax then it will be likely bigger one. For the reason that he would just Call with weak Aces. So just fold it on flop. As played you can Call the turn likely for the given odds, but definitely give it up on river, you don't beat anything there.

Best regards.
