Sometimes when I want to get a call, I make the numbers nice.
For me, I find raising preflop to 3x instead of 3.5x (pot) usually gets a lot more callers. And postflop, if half pot is 0.28, I usually bet 0.3 as it's a nicer number and gets a lot more calls. If potsize is 0.73, I'd make it 0.7.
To get folds, I pretty much always go potsize. Though I've seen people make the chip stack big (like 0.74 which has a pile of chips instead of 0.75 which is 3 0.25 chips) to get folds.
Does anyone else do this or is it just me?
