$30 mtt cant remember if buble burst yet but w/e,,

non-std line for pps i guess, my line ok here assuming villain is opening fairly wide? i think raising pre sucks wth stack sizes how they are, folding seems ok but i have a pair so it sucks to fold also, i think i get a lot of credit here anyway and even when called i have decent eq vs his range

i like just opening the hand. openfolding is ok as well. do not like limping here, do you ever limp with your higher pocketpairs? if so i don't think it's good to anyway... when there are antes we should be stealing more and thus we should aim to balance that.

surely my actual range doesnt matter that much here only my percieved range?

but if they see you as a competent player your perceived range is more weighted towards lower pocketpairs. i hope i'm not being results oriented in making that analysis

agree 100%

@dylboi011 dont try to justify a bad play is just looks even worse imo

1) imo when you limp (if you ever do that) with AA or KK i dont think that you will over shove after that huge raise (if you do is very very bad, worse then limping)

2) if i'm in SB shoes and if i decide to raise in that spot I'm almost never ever folding when you shove cos of =>#1, and btw in that spot my range is not balanced at all when I raise (and i dont think that it should be) = I wont raise with a hand that I wont call a shove with which means I always raise for value and I will just shove TT-JJ, raise call QQ+,AK (AK is border line I might just shove it) and just call everything else cos I dont like to raise/fold 77-99 or TJ-KQ,AQ and give up mine EQ or fold best hand vs fish who decide to get fancy and limp shove 22-77,AQ/AK or something like that.. and btw if fish limps with KK+ from EP making huge mistake giving me opportunity to bust his hand cheaply why should I fix his mistake?

that play imo will be good play if you had limped before in EP and some1 next to you iso you light (and you have that info cos you see his hand or some1 behind both of you cold 3bet and villain fold, so you can make assumtion that if you limp he will iso you light again and then you can limp shove with hands like thats) then i will like that play to limp shove

and btw about your original post I like to say

- you r assuming you dont have any info/reads
- raising pre doesnt sucks, thats best play, cos u r raising UTG and that gives a lot of credit to hand (looks stronger)
- and you think wrong when you do get called you r drawing to 2 outs like 90%++ of time in this spot

I agree to you guys. limp/push in that spot is not really good. You have a stack to openraise 33 in that spot. His isoraise looks pretty strong and if he calls your shove you're toasted very often. Also without decent reads its far better to just openraise your hand!
