I think as played is fine. 7.5:1 pot odds and you got overs

i would not raise. CO is very passive. he did only raise with 2 percent of his hands and he could sometimes limp with pocketpair and on that board there is no real draw possible and thus i'd give him credit for a hand and would have played as you did. call the flop to your bd gutshot, to your overcards and then fold on the turn. he doesn't look like being the type of guy who is donkbetting into 2 with KJ or some trashy hand.
