what is the minimum hands required for someone to see if he is a winning or losing player in nl 6 max?

10k at minimum unless you run on series of bad beats imo.
Thats to see if you are winning or lossing player.
30k+ if you want more accurate standings and some general idea about your overall play.

I am always taking into account that I may be wrong ofcourse, so waitign to see what other guys will say.

even in 10K hands u can run very badly and in my opinion thats not enough

If u wanna find out if ure a good player then post hands or do session reviews with someone who is for sure a winningplayer.

IMO the best line

100K minimum before you even start to get a converging winrate IMHO.

I think that bit too much for first impressions.
I doubt a bad player can have an upswing of 100k hands and also winning player cant have such a bad downswing.

@ belthazorrrr: The dotted blackline is the long term expected winrate. The other lines show various random runs of the model factoring the possible variance. You've assumed a massive 20bb/100 winrate which is somewhat unlikely. In any event, you can see the huge number of different winrates shown by the lines on the graph.

@ Sinnology: Yeah, you should have an idea how you're doing well before that but a lot of people really underestimate variance. I'm also talking about a converging bb/100 rather than just getting an idea how you're doing.
