But some pokersites allow you to lock up your account for a certain time. So if you know you go out drinking you activate it before going out and you have no chance of playing.

Another tip might be to choose a very complicated password and you unmark the "remember my password". I helps wonders.. I even couldn't log in into windows because I didn't new the "easy" passwod for it.

How du u keep your self away from poker rooms when u r drunk?

I got great tips for this one:

1. don't drink.
2. drink more, try playing poker after you've passed out! ♦, no seriously, keep drinking till your tired, is actually a good tip imo.
3. Do things that are nicer then poker when you're drunk, like drugs or sex.
4. discipline!

I had the same problem until I set up an account on another poker site and deposited $40. I use this as my "mess around account"

I play here when i'm drunk and want a game or want a game but just want to lark around. This really does work, i'd strongly recommend it.

ok having a drink or two before you play, or smoking a joint or two wont really hurt your game, well it doesn't hurt my game. But being piss drunk, i dont know how can you even open the client. Maybe logging out of your client before you go out, and to tell you the truth i wouldnt even think about playing when i come home wasted.

I don't think there are good concentration enhancing drugs. Maybe marijuana helps, because enhancing concentration is the only aspect of marijuana that could have a positive effect here. Any other drug or dope would only enhance physics or ruin your psyche.

No, marihuana is ineffective for most people.
I often play real life poker while passing around joints with friends ... somehow, their play is severely affected by it in a bad way and I usually win about 100-150 BB from them.
I got 12 $ out of Timor83 last time who thought his 9TJJQ was a straight...

For me, I get increased patience though and won't get bored that easily folding lots of hands in a live game. For most, they just don't care and play like it's playmoney, the "let's see what you got at any cost" game.

try snorting instead of smoking, that way you only get affected by the THC (the high/the concentration/the fun part, and not by the cabinol(the lazy/the lameness/the down). Zulu's snorted THC before a battle, and they went friggin crazy, and where concentrated in a sick, sick way.

well, in dutch we have the expression 'stoned as a shrimp',
so guess to expect worse than fish play from guys in that condition
