For example, does bluffing occur more in late position than early?

it probably occurs on late position the most because they are often last to act and sometimes feel obliged to make a continuation bet. but then it depends on the aggressiveness of the player.
Late position, their range is weaker so they will more often have hand that can't win at showdown.
