I feel sick. On the flop I wanted to donk, but I was chatting in skype and did an automatic nlhe check. Turn seems like a standard check to me. On the way the guys in position think a long time which made me think he wanted to take a step at the pot. Therefore I decided that to go for the small check raise on the river? When he 4bets me I guess he always has quads? Checking the flop en thinking the turn makes sense for him having quads too.

Well there is 1 combo of QQ that beats you and two combos of AQ that he might also play this way (based on action that makes it look like you never have AA or KK here)

I probably puke call here, but yes, it certainly does look like he has QQ. Maybe opponent misclicked just like you on the flop with KK :f_biggrin:

can i ask what a better line here is with AAxx? are we betting 2/3 pot on flop usually and if so, what is our line on the turn when the obvious draw card hits? bet/fold, or bet/fold with our FH draw?

as played, i dont think i can ever fold here... isn't is just as likely villain could have something like KQxx or even Q4xx?

If your opponent is super passive, I can guarantee it's a fold.

I know people who have a PFR of 2% who if I potted into them on a board of AKQQ, they would flat call with AQ because they fear AA and KK too much. They would only raise with QQ so ask yourself is your opponent one of those people.

Now in this case, because you flatted preflop, he might rule out you having AA, so it's possible he is spewing with a horribly played KK or even AQ.

But even KK knows here that AQ isn't calling that bet, so such a huge raise is only getting action from AA or QQ. The more I think about it, the more I really expect it to be quads here.
