hey, while there are one or two PLO articles, I would love to see one which deals with estimating equity in headsup and also multiway pots vs different player types. I think this would simplify things a great deal for a lot of people

I think this is an interesting post, so i'l also be posting it in the PLO forum.

eg:

we have :

K :diamond: K :club:9 :heart:T :spade:

tight aggressive villain raises in hijack (with a PFR of 18 over 85 hands)

how do we fare vs:

Premium AAxx hands?
strong AAxx hands?
weak AAxx hands?
is domination by better KKxx hands a concern?
how much do we have to consider hands like rundowns? what is the best method to play the pot when the action goes : raise/3bet/call
or raise/call?

etc

we know villain is tight. what types of hands can we thus remove from his range?

is villain going to be showing up with a certain type of hand more often than others?

etc.

thank you for the suggestion, it makes a lot of sense going deeper in the analysis of ranges. We'll take a look what we can do here

I think it makes more sense to be thinking more and more about PLO content anyway. I believe it will be the future of Pokerstrategy.com at some stage.

Just an update, I've been in touch with PS and am in the process of preparing an outline of the article.

There are a lot of things to be considered when writing such an article and it can be as simple as a few paragraphs or as extensive as an entire book.

Since there are so many parameters (our hand, villains range, position, stack depth, multiway or heads up, etc etc) and I cannot focus on them all I will go with the example asked for with KKT9.

It may take a few weeks to compile the article and have it published (possibly longer, I'm not sure how long the publishing process is) but it is definitely in the works
