Hey,

I'm trying hard to plug my main leaks which are (I think):
- Oveplaying top pair
- spewing on 3bet pots (6max)
- Being meek on dangerous boards (also mainly 6max)

With that said, is this an example of overplaying top pair? I gave the "intro" because not long ago I figured out I was folding/giving away waaay too many at the minimum sight of danger.

PartyGaming - $0.10 NL - Holdem - 6 players

BB: $10.00
Hero (UTG): $16.78
MP: $3.82
CO: $9.46
BTN: $10.00
SB: $10.05

SB posts SB $0.05, BB posts BB $0.10

Pre Flop: ($0.15) Hero has A♥ Q♦

Hero raises to $0.40, fold, CO calls $0.40, fold, fold, fold

Flop: ($0.95, 2 players) A♠ 4♠ 4♥
Hero bets $0.60, CO raises to $1.40, Hero calls $0.80

Turn: ($3.75, 2 players) T♥
Hero checks, CO bets $1.78, Hero calls $1.78

River: ($7.31, 2 players) 9♥
Hero checks, CO bets $3.47, Hero calls $3.47

Thanks a lot as always!

Hello luizsilveira,

Bet/Calling the flop and Check/Call the turn is totally fine, although I don't really see him 3barreling this way with a lot worse Ax hands, therefore I might even prefer to Check/Fold the river even if it sometimes seems to be weak but we can't really do that very profitable the Call while we don't know the opponent.

Most of the Ax hands which he might raise us, got there I mean like AT/A9 makes 2pairs, only reasonable hand is AJ which we beat or of course bluffs but I don't really think that he has that many of them in his range even if at all.

Best regards.

Thanks a lot, Veriz.

And replying 4adeadpoet, villain shows the AT (which of course got me mad on his check-awful-raise-on-the-flop-to-then-catch-lucky-3outer kind'a move).
