Panic Mode

Hey All, I think I have pushing the wrongs hands at the wrong times fro the wrong amount of blinds, because when I get under 13 BBs I seem to go into Panic Mode.

So when Is Panic Mode on each Blind Level. For example this hand

Ok so I had 7.5 BBs so I thought I was in Panic Mode, Chenny Comented in the thread that I have plenty of BBs. So does this meen that if I had 5 BBs this push would be better.

So when is panic Mode in each blind level on FTP, usulay your stack is in Push or Fold after 50/100 Blind Level.

So for every level when is panic mode when I have to shove a hand like A7o or J8s.

This something I'm realy strugling with and I think it is costing me alot of money.

Why do you want to panic?

There is a time to play push/fold preflop. You might do this when you have 10 BB outside the blinds (you can push for more after limpers), or 15 BB from the small blind, and you can push for more than these when you are an obvious resteal target. However, this doesn't mean you are panicking. It just means the blinds are large enough for you to commit your whole stack to threaten them.

If you are asking when it is ok to give up on the tournament, and push ATC just to get it over with, that happens shortly after you decide you don't like money. Shoves from the CO with trash hands look bad when you analyze them in SNG Wizard 90% because they are really horrible equity-spewing plays and 10% because of non-ICM factors SNG Wizard overlooks.

That said, A7o is not 72o. It's not the worst shove in the world, although I think it is wrong here. Pushing for 5 big blinds might be better, since the reward from stealing the blinds would go up a lot relative to the risk, and I think people tend not to widen their calling ranges as much as they should.

Ok Panic Mode is proberly the wrong title.

I am just haveing problems knowing when to push lose, I have never been Gold so I have never been able to read the the artical on the -EV push, but I belive I understnad the concept (or maybe not) after watching every sng vid up to silver at least 3x.

I love money and I will never give up on a tourny I am playing, but I'm not the brightest spark and I cant instantly think ok I have XX hand in CO and BTN, SB and BB have X amount of chips I have to push this hand. I'm not gonna say I never gonna be able to learn this because a Month ago I had to bring up the equliator to work out wat the top x% of hands was when I was playing.
