BU is a decent reg. SB a hobby player.

Two things:

1. Nash and Wizz say this is an overcall vs any reasonable BU shoving range. I folded here because (embarrasingly enough) I couldnt work out what happened if SB and I both bust out here ( ).

I guess its a call because the only way we can fail to get in the money is in the unlikely event that SB wins the hand and we also lose (the side pot) to BU - is that correct?

2. Just to confirm, if I had called and the cards had come in the same way, I would have busted out - correct?

It's good spot to overcall and yes shortie has to win the hand and you have to lose to BU as well to bust out.

In this case you would have been the bubble boy, but good deck reads saved the day :)

the only way for you to bubble is if SB > both of you and BTN > you. its always an overcall because you have the SB covered. if the SB had you covered then its something like QQ+ maybe even KK+
