Hey, I was wondering if withdrawals from Pokerstars are taxed for UK players. I read that Stars and FT have taxes due to being US sites but does this only apply to players from the US and other countries where tax laws are different from the UK where gambling are winnings tax free?

I've had a search around on PS.com and couldn't find anything so would appreciate a reply from anyone who knows. :)

This is incorrect. US players are required to file these themselves and pay or deduct as appropriate. Stars and Tilt don't even report your winnings or withdraws.

correct, although this also means that you can't offset losses against any personal tax allowance/self assesment. ;)

but who wants to lose when you can win all the time ;)
