Playing SSS NL 25 I have had Ak suited or not 23 times and only once have I out flopped a player with an underpair and this hand takes the cake.

Full Tilt Poker
No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $0.10/$0.25
9 players
Converter

Pre-flop: (9 players) Hero is BB with A♣ K♥
2 folds, MP1 calls, MP2, folds, MP3 (poster) checks, CO calls, Button raises to $1, SB folds, Hero raises all-in $4.3, 3 folds, Button calls.

Flop: Q♠ 6♣ Q♥ ($9.45, 1 player + 1 all-in - Main pot: $9.45)

Turn: Q♦ ($9.45, 1 player + 1 all-in - Main pot: $9.45)

River: 6♥ ($9.45, 1 player + 1 all-in - Main pot: $9.45)

Results:
Final pot: $9.45

Against KQ, what a joke

I had that problem with JJs. I would always lose out because the others playing got lucky on the flop. But I realize I was pscyhing myself out so I decided to stop playing for a while and just studied my strategies or watched for a while.

I might have a look at Tournament strategies and see if it suits me better than FL. Might play some of those free roll tournaments.

Just be happy that you were a big favourite. The money doesn't matter.

Hi Watto77,

Although there is no 'real' reason to be happy about losing here, just be glad that players like him exist and will get there money in with the worst of it.

AKo vs. KQs is an around 70% vs 30% situation

and

AKo vs KQo is an around 75% vs 25% situation

While you are high favorite you are still bound to lose 25-30% of the time. This means you are losing this constelation 1/4th of the time. (I actually prefer him hitting quads on me than losing against a lone queen on the river to be honest )

Best regards,
