was it a correct move? Should I be tighter because the big blind covers me?

Isolating out of the SB should send a message to the big blind you have a strong hand, I wouldn't expect too much trouble. I would make it bigger prelfop to maximize your fold equity and discourage big blind from entering the pot. 650-700 should work.
