Finding it difficult to become accustomed to the SSS...felt I shoved too soon...nothing should have called me that didn't have me crushed...Is this the correct play?

Hello!

on your limits you are better off shoving preflop if you are committed postflop like you see here

99s play really well preflop with the most equity rather than postflop 3way on such a board
