Assumed he was raising with high kicker, or higher than 5 at least, so having two pair with sixes beat the five, hence 3bet. Was this played correctly??

Howdy,

I'd raise preflop.

I'd re-raise his flop-bet, if he 3bets me then I call down, I think. If he calls then I bet the turn.

Thanks for input, it is good to have a different view. Having looked at the charts again it is borderline raise to one call, so yes agree, even if equity against 40/5 range is 53%.

Post flop, I have 60% against his 'range' (inverted because hand fell outside that. If his raises were PFR is 15%. I spose this could be increased considering he is at SB.

Turn and river standard, I have high equity, but got beat.

No probs - I look at the hands as how I would play them, so from the BU with one limper I'd raise, if the SB or BB 3bets then fine, but I've tried to isolate a limper. (FWIW, of the hands you posted this is the one I had most difficulty with, so I'm interested to see what the judges say.)

Also, with 55 hands on the villain I wouldn't rely on those stats too much. Some nights I play 50 hands and I get VPIP 9, other nights VPIP40.

Hi!

Dont know which chart you are looking at but there is none which says to ever call a hand on BU vs 1 limper. Its always raise or fold situation(especially a hands as strong as A6s). In fact you should never call a hand when there is just 1 player already in the pot( doesnt matter whether he raised or just limped)..its always raise or fold!

Postflop you played it fine. Turn raise is a must since he will still call all his FDs and he also has a lot of Ax hands and not really that many flushes and 5x.
Getting 3bet is not nices but Im never folding this since guy can easily overplay a hand like AxKh or KxKh or just whatever
