first hand i had a read on the villain as extremely loose aggressive postflop

second hand i didn't put him on a flush draw and expected some value out of a weird two pair or top pair top kicker (that is, from the flop)

(first hand villain had 66, second hand villain had a flopped straight)

1) I like to call the flop and raise a good turn (like the 2). This move has more value if he has just overcards and you can fold if he is 3-betting. If you judge him as a crazy player then just call down.
(Read the comments too late. Just call down here.)

2) Nh. (I think a set is more likely here.)

you wouldn't bet 2nd pair for value against an extreme fish?

i don't know, it's just that that player made a calldown with a gutshot straight draw earlier. except the catch is he had a 9 and the board was TJKA, so if he did hit his 4 outs, it would've been a split pot

About which hand do you talk? I don't see a hand where you could have bet instead of call or raise.

EDIT: If you have special reads to a player you can add them as well because it may influence how to play.

in the first hand

Ahhh lol sorry of course you bet here on the turn and because he is aggressive you have to calldown. But I would calldown against this player right from the flop and bet if he checks.
