So he did what? Took you for AQ and decided his A8 monster was a sure fire catch? lol

Who knows what he was thinking.

don't really like pf call with just over 10bb stack

You weren't the preflop agressor. So donkbetting is pretty unusual to do. Especially as you have a monster hand. There is very little to no reason to do it unless opponent cbets very little. Which is almost no one at those limits. More often then not your going to get alot of folds instead of atleast getting that cbet money + possibly more.

So i can completly see where he's comming from. Nonetheless he should have layed it down when you went all in.

Edit: didn't notice but as weasel pointed out i think it's much better to shove preflop with such a small stack.

If im reading it correctly it was about 1200 more for a 3k chips pot. Depending on the player you could either call or fold it really. so your getting 2,5 to 1.. pretty marginal.. I think folding is quite alot better. your not getting the right price against Qx or pairs 99+. plus crappy kicker.. i just dont see what hand your going to be ahead against thats going to donkbet the flop. Plus there's a flushdraw making it even worse. So i think it's a pretty clear fold.

edit: the handhistory is very confusing. numbers obviously don't add up. so it was 1200 more for like 3700 pot? makes a call slightly better. but still pretty marginal.

Why do you even care what he says lol, you won the hand, and got him to double you up, didn't you? Mission accomplished.

I agree, something is weird with the HH. But look at hero's starting stack. By deduction it can only be another 390 chips for villain to call when hero 3bet jams. Right? ?(

Hero gets to flop with 1740.

Thanks for the feadback guys. I called his UTG raise cause he had been open raising in that pos quite oten and had been caught light a few times. there was some history there. I do aggre though it wasnt maybe the right call preflop wih only 11bb - but his range was huge - maybe a shove by me?

He was probably trying to exploit a tight table or simply for value? (Or he's just a really bad agressive fish [just as likely imo]) Since UTG is the last position you want to be playing in so it doesn't make sense to chose to play more hands UTG.

Just ship the nickles. you increase your stack by 30% and else you still have a good hand. Especially because he can have so many worse hands in his range makes it very +EV to shove and your also playing out of position.
