Villian is a reg, 19/12 2.3 af WTSD 26%, do you think this is a good spot to triple barrel without further information? I can rep a wide range, 77 99+ AT, T9, 87, 64s, it's also not a flop that I would be cbing with air. I also imagine that most strong hands would be raising the turn if not the flop and therefore on the river his hand is very likely a one pair hand.

Did you have any specific history w him? What is his 3b stat?

I think it is not such a bad spot to three barrel if we assume he can fold JT+ type of hands, by river. At the same time you must expect calldowns w JJ and QQ if u have some history + there are some 87s hands he plays this way.

So if QQ-JJ, ATs, KTs, QTs, JTs, 87s, 76s, ATo, KTo, QTo, JTo represent whole range on river, QQ-JJ, 87s, 76s rep aprox 1/4 of his river calling range.

But I do restrain myself from these kind of plays vs. not so known regs.

P.S, I don`t know how is it, if you never take this line with JJ+...

I bet 5 on the flop to build the pot and for balancing.
Generally I like the plan of a 3barrel here because I think his callingrange is mostly pair+straightdraw type of hands - the best he can show up with is AT or JJ and he can hardly call a third barrel with those.
However, vs a thinking reg you should be aware that he might see you having all those draws and OC+GS type hands in your range that you 2nd barrel because you have some equity and then feel committed to 3rd barrel.
So you could see a light call occasionally, but the average opponent will just read your line as strength (correctly w/o further info).
