Preflop is good, flop looks good, I'd c/r turn though, see if BU gets out of the hand and for value.

i donked because then BU would maybe have to call 2bets cold.

mh interesting hand. the way you played it i like the turn donk but i´m thinking about a flop 3-bet...
imo a flop 3-bet is best but i´m interested in other opinions (cirith, benny ? :P)

hehe yea i gotta say that hand is very complex! CO could have anything from a K high flushdraw to an ace with no kicker. a flop 3 bet is certainly a good thing - the fact i dont like though is that we only have a Jack as a kicker so on the flop we are already beat by AK, AQ, A9 and split with AJ. that makes this hand so uncomfortable. besides we dont protect at all with a flop 3 bet against the K high flush or some stupid 2 outers, by pocketpairs who also have a flush draw (or all the 5 outers): were not invincible in that hand. so calling a raise and donking the turn hoping that an overaggressive CO raises and gets the BU out is not a bad idea. So I like your play and c/c the river is good too - the problem with this hand is just that we have almost no idea how good our hand is. as i said it with another hand - those one colored flops are very interesting!

mh thats true. i will give some of my thoughts too:
first of all i have to admit that i didn´t really think about AK or AQ because a very aggressive CO raiser has a very wide range and he could raise this scary flop with nearly everything. it´s quite hard to put BU on a hand though.
of course it´s possible that the K :club: is out there but i´m not sure if we should fear it too early. i mean at least we have the second nut flush draw and a quite solid made hand.
the main problem is imo that we will most likely only get a raise on the turn from hands which have us beat (well the J makes things easier ^^) but maybe i´m underestimating his af ;)

ah btw: river is an obvious check/call for me too ^^

id say turn raises are possible for KQ with K high flush draw and AK with K flush draw. also AJ or A9 (which has us beat at the river). but its right most hands beat us at the turn but we still have to call down that one - the pot is just too big.

of course. but i wouldn´t like to do so
as i said: the J makes it a lot easier :)

I would 3-bet flop cause I dont thin AK is on the hand (it would have been caped preflop imo), so the only thing who can scare hero is a K of .. Plus, CO can be raising for protection with no Ax and a 4 clubs board would kill the action! I want to make a big pot now, so I 3-bet flop and turn and if villain cap turn, I calldown..

Maybe I'm too agressive, but the K:c dont scare me enough here :O

The 9 river is a pretty bad card, but I dont think villain was agressive this way with bottom pair.. And if he has a 2 clubs hand, NH :'(

Without the 2nd nutflushdraw I like the hand very much. With it you can 3-bet the flop but playing like you did is still ok in my opinion.

I like the discussions going on here lately. :)

Without the 2nd nutflush? We have it no?

Very nice discussions here. I had kind of drifted off to the Dutch forum, but see now that I'm missing a lot! Will check in more often to learn.
