The Fifty50 prize structures don't quite seem to add up, and I can't figure it out. Here's the first few levels of them, and maybe someone can tell me what I'm missing.
Each tournament has 10 players who receive 1,500 chips each, for a total of 15,000 chips.
$1.50's:
$1.35 + $0.15.
Prize pool: $13.50
5 players win $1.35. Total of $6.75.
15,000 chips, 4c per 100 chips, total of $6.
$6.75 + $6 = $12.75, 75c less than the prize pool.
$1.39 + $0.11.
Prize pool: $13.90
5 players win $1.39. Total of $6.95.
15,000 chips, 4c per 100 chips, total of $6.
$6.95 + $6 = $12.95, 95c less than the prize pool.
$3.50's
$3.26 + $0.24.
Prize pool: $32.60
5 players win $3.26. Total of $16.30
10c per 100 chips, total of $15.
$16.30 + $15 = $31.30, $1.30 less than the prize pool.
$3.30 + $0.20
Prize pool: $33.00
5 players win $3.30. Total of $16.50
11c per 100 chips, total of $16.50
$16.50 + $16.50 = $33.00, exactly the amount of the prize pool.
If it weren't for that last one, I might think it was an attempt to get more rake, but as it is, some of the numbers add up, but most don't. What am I missing?
