I was just wondering if there was any free software that would allow you to record your screen, FOR FREE???
I know that camtasia does it but thats expensive and i dont have much $$$

okay i managed to get some software, but my next question is, how to i make comments over the top of the video?
camtasia studio 7 does everything, both recording the screen and recording the sound from you microphone, + you can edit everything there, and its free for 30 days, otherwise you can try and find a crack
If you want free, try HyperCam.
It also has sound recording features.
For cutting-trimming Windows Movie Maker, I think it also has adding comments feature. 
i used cam studio, its pretty easy to use, although you cant record speech over the top, so i might try camtasia's free trial
