thank you, i am very dissapomted that i didn't win the heads up battle, this guy didn't do anything other than shove or call my raise's then fold the flop or turn, he had shoved about 10 times preflop.
I was happy with my play all tourny and i know if he just played the heads up battle the way it should be played, i would have beat him(maybe he knew that too) lol

Well done Murdoch. that was a great return for 1/2 a buck and some great play in a field of 2000 runners. Making the FT with that field is a massive achiecvement, so i wouldnt ley yhe heads up issue bug ya. if i was you now, i would be investing some of the new found wealth in heads up games.

Heads up steps is usually a good cost effective and worth while experience.

Regarding the USD2.20 taken down a 7th place, I think maybe it is to harsh for you to all in there. Just some of my opinion for you at the final table. It is nice to try calculating the odds using ICM during final table. Anyways, your stack sizes were around 22bbs and I think you still can have fold equity with the A9. In Final Table, each places cashes was totally too big different. It is such a waste you survive till the final table and all in with A9o with a still considering healthy stack sizes. Maybe wait for more premium hand to all in, otherwise just sit out there and watching someone battling the pot and you taken even higher places. If you get a flipping coin with maybe AJ+, maybe it is some kind of bad luck to see AQ when shoving there. But with A9o, it is not worth to do so. It is just an opinion how I play during on final table.

Just to amend my post just now. After a raise/fold there, you still holding around 16bbs and I think it is still consider a quite healthy stack at the final table since maybe normally final table before 6 handed was around 20-25bbs on the average. So it is better to wait and watch someone battling out there.

thanks for the feedback, after i done it i was kicking myself, cause i knew it was a terrible play, the dude tanked for a while and i thought i was getting away with it
My friend was watching me and he phoned me straight after and said what the hell was that, when i shoved he thought i had AA, I don't usually do crazy stuff like. i think it was a rush blood to the head.

Yeah, last time once in a while when I am playing a Mtts also have some kind play like yours. I hate people raised my shoves and will doing harsh things and all in with only marginal preflop. Now I have learnt something that if somebody raises, I will take my time and calm down myself. Ask myself whether it is worth to end my tournament life and spill all my hard earn accumulate chips when I have a healthy stack.
Maybe something I can share during I play mtts. When I am playing mtts after bubble burst, I will change all my strategy to SNGs. My SNGs golden rules was never see the flops when I have no chance to put in all my chips. Maybe it is a bit too tight, but its really a work strategy. This making me improve my games in SNGs and even MTTs. Maybe you can try this next time. I also will always remind myself, success in poker was not how many flip you can win, it is how capable you fold your card.

i agree, in the tourny i placed 2nd i posted here, i had 9's in the co with 2 tables and 7 at my table left, i raised 2.5xbb guy in sb shoved, if i called and was wrong i'm out, a couple months ago i would have snap called. but i thought about it, i had plenty of chips was looking good for FT, so i folded and i still remember that hand because i think it was a big fold and a vital hand to me getting 2nd.

Nice to hear from your experience too. Just sharing some of what I can see during my Mtts. I am not an expert, still learning to push my limits in poker, maybe my strategy was not that good too. But regarding the 9's, sometimes maybe I will call that kind of shoves with some reads and allow sizes of stacks. If my stack sizes allow me, I will playing a flip too because poker sometime also need some of luck there. But if I have extremely deep stacks that guarantee me to the final table, no point to spill chips and letting villain to double up chips with only mid pairs.
