Hey, just wondering if any1 can give me feedback as to how i played this hand, what i should/shouldn't have done. Also was listening to a coaching last nite and they said the odds of a flush are 118/1 and they said that if 3 cards of the same suit come on the board you cannot presume your opponent/s have a flush draw.

hi keoghh.

you are in Early position so fold preflop i think its the best move here, you can easily me dominated by other hands . also i think you should raise 4xbb and not 3xbb preflop. since you decided to play the hand you should continue carefully...you hit the flop well. on the flop you should definetely reraise and not call the only hand that beat you is a set and the way that your opponent play you only be beaten by a set (88)...

You should definitely find a new hand converter! PokerStrategy.com one works great.

Anyway. I'm not a full ring player myself, but i do know they're pretty notty so imho. I would only open AQs FR if i'm UTG+2, i used to keep my range pretty tight on first two positions.

Flop play was pretty bad, you must raise there to protect your hand against draws, the lead-bet over there usually intends to block the betting from the agressor (doesn't makes sense that he pots it, but 'oh well').

Either way, nit up range UTG, UTG+1. If this was a 9max table i might open AQs there, but not so sure. (Once again, i like SH the best).

Raise on that kind of flop, always, you need to protect your hand against the variety of hands villain could have. And btw, for further posting, don't post the results, it usually makes the play be read another way (or tag them with spoilers).

you are 3 in the pot and the other player has about 5.5$ so 1.5 i think its ok.
