Recently I've focused on improving my c-betting, and generally betting less flops. This table was very tight, and MP1 super tight. I thought this flop most likely missed his range, so a c-bet is ok here?

If he called to set mine with 55 or 88, I'd think he's gonna SP for at least one street. But who knows?

I think he most likely has 99-JJ, because he'd surely 3Bet QQ-AA. What are your thoughts on these ranges?

Board: 5d 8h 8c
Dead:

equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 24.040% 24.04% 00.00% 4284 0.00 { AcQh }
Hand 1: 75.960% 75.96% 00.00% 13536 0.00 { JJ-99 }

If this range is correct, I'm screwed here...

Either that, or he's simply bluffing?

Hello philhellmutt,

Preflop: Raise 4xBB.
Postflop: Against that kind of opponent rather just Check it and see the further actions. I don't think that he is going to fold a lot of hands. And most likely his range consists of a lot of PPs which we ain't gonna make to fold.

Best regards.
