[Closed] nl2 - River bet Size?

Continuation bet the flop, with over-cards & gut shot it seemed a good spot.

Checked back the turn for the free card, did't want to inflate pot further after villian called on flop.

River, I have the nuts on a board that has become a staight. Bet 40% of the pot, hoping for a re-raise or a call. Perhaps I could have bet more, villian will often not believe I have him beat here & will rarely raise?

Hello Philfox1985,

Add to full stack.

When he is fishy enough you could even sometimes consider just shoving. If he has the straight with a hand like 8 then he will definitely Call you. Or as played I'd go for at least $0,40+.

Best regards.
